The Cornucopia's Tale

What in the World is a Cornucopia?!

A  cornucopia is a hollow horn-shaped wicker basket filled with seasonal fruit and vegetables. Even though Americans connect the cornucopia with Thanksgiving, the cornucopia has gone back way before Columbus sailed to America. Believe it or not, the cornucopia dates back to  5 B.C showing up in Greek mythology. In one legend, the cornucopia was a endless source of food. The bearer could ask for any food and it would be given. The cornucopia is a symbol of abundance. The cornucopia even appears in Thanksgiving, as a centerpiece on many tables. But don't think that the cornucopia is only  on Thanksgiving. The cornucopia appears on many flags and pictures of different cultures.
